Week One!
Zdravo! (Hello!)
I've already spent one week here, and it's gone by so quickly! As soon as I stepped out of the plane, my team hit the ground running. We spent a few days going over some orientation materials, getting accustomed to the language and culture but very quickly began our routine of what we will be doing every week.
A lot of what I will be doing every week is evangelism, and I had a very cool experience with my very first group I talked with. I met Boris and Daniello in a park in a very busy part of town. I started up a conversation, and found out they were both students here. As I continued talking with them, they both said that they were Orthodox, but by nationality alone. Daniello even said how he was wanting to get baptized, but only because he feels like it is what he is supposed to do culturally. As we began to share the Gospel with them, they seemed interested in what I had to say, but not ready for a change yet. Luckily, I am meeting back up with them tomorrow to hang out and talk about it more! So please be in prayer for those conversations that will take place!
Adjusting to a foreign country has been slightly challenging. The language is difficult, and most people don't speak English. The people here are very blunt and very cold, but are very interested by Americans. Trying to grocery shop, get lunch, or do anything that requires you to interact with people has been difficult, but a fun challenge regardless.
Please continue to pray for me to adjust to this new location, as well as for Boris and Daniello!
Landing down on my last flight!

We are praying for you, Boris, and Daniello! The city is beautiful!
